Common questions

How is this different from a cloud drive?

The hardware is in your building and files move over your own network, so large files open at local speed instead of download speed. There are no per-gigabyte or egress fees, and the data physically stays with you.

Do we need someone in-house to run it?

No. Monitoring, patching, capacity reporting and hardware replacement are ours. That is the difference between buying a NAS and a managed NAS.

What happens if a disk or controller fails?

Depends on your service tier. Standard is next-business-day vendor replacement; the higher tiers add four-hour onsite response, and high-availability configurations fail over automatically.

Can we start small and grow?

Yes. Capacity expands in place, and tiers exist precisely so you are not buying enterprise hardware for a team of ten.
