A desktop Synology unit had run out of space, and editors were working off local drives and copying finished work back by hand.

What we deployed
A Synology RS1221+ with 4x 8 TB and a 10 GbE card — 24 TB usable at RAID 5 — on the Bronze tier, rent-to-own over 60 months.
Outcome
Editors work directly off shared storage at 10 GbE. Monthly cost is lower than straight rental, and the hardware becomes theirs at the end of the term for archive use.
